2012 week 29 - Melkuttimet, Tammela
Melkuttimet (link: English
/ Finnish)
is a
nature preservation area containing lots of ridge-side pine forests and few small lakes. Area is protected via Natura 2000
program. Area has been used for commercial forestry, but restoration work is in progress to increase biodiversity.
There will be more ridge-side pine forests on next post, this first post contains mainly other photos from this
Natura 2000 site.
