Piilijärvi
is small swamp lake surrounded by some cliffs. While walking around this location I found
a place where two bears have been resting on grassy hill. I first did think that the marks
on ground (long grass had fallen in area which was about 120cm in diameter, and smaller area
next to it) were caused by moose laying on grass enjoying the evening sun, but then I
realized that it's way too small for moose - then few meters from further away I found
footprints, which definitely were not made by moose. After this I made big
noise while moving forward to avoid confrontation with the bear and it's cub. It's quite
rare that human faces bear in forest, almost always bears smell and hear human from so
far distance that it's next to impossible to see any bears. Actually I haven't seen bear
outsize zoo ever except in North Carolina, USA.
