Cameras
Below this page there are pages dedicated to my cameras.
I have had also Pentax cameras and pages about them are
here.
Currently I'm using Canon cameras and even I could change
to Nikon (the only real competitor) on financial point of
view I would not change. On my point of view there are no
remarkable difference on cameras (exept on pro-cameras on
autofocus department; Canon 45 points vs Nikon 11 points).
Canon seems to be going to fullframe on professional SLRs
and 1.6 crop on amateur SLRs. It seems that Nikon has
chosen to use 1.5 crop factor on all of their cameras.
Even Nikon has done this kind of decision there is only
one pro-quality lens (17-55/2.8), which takes 1.5 crop
into concideration. Also I'm quite worried Nikon R&D and
production departmens output, only few lenses after year
2000. And it seems that most of the Nikon primes don't
have SWM (Nikon calls it Silent Wave Motor, Canon
terminology = USM) and there are quite few lenses with
Vibration Reduction (Canon terminology = IS).
Let's see how the situation develops, this has been
written in May 2005.
