Canon EF 70-200 f/4 L USM
SOLD AT 2005-07!!!
This is my telezoom. Due to 1.6 crop factor mainly used
for landscape photography. My lens had backfocusing
on wide end. I was idiot and believed the web forum
gurus who said "It's Canon lens it cannot have
focusing problems" / "Go outside testing in real situations
instead shooting focus targets" / "It's because your
technique". Well, after calibration at Canon it doesn't
have focus problems on wide end. I would say anyone who
has focusing problems with this lens: test with proper
target in good lightning and if it's really backfocusing
then send for calibration. Quite many of 70-200 F4 lenses
are backfocusing. Naturally majority of these lenses focus
properly but if your lens focuses correctly it doesn't
mean that all these lenses focus correctly, please
remember that writing to web forums. Other than backfocus
I don't haven't had any problems with the lens, it's sharp
and colors & contrast are on the usual Canon L-level.
