Mostly I use my Pentax SMC-M primes 28mm/2.8, 50mm/1.7 and
135mm/3.5. I also have have Hoya 75-205mm/4 Zoom and Tamron-Popular
400mm/6.3 tele. I prefer primes because I can't afford good quality
zooms and they are usually also very heavy to carry in ones camera
back.
Also I like to use primes in backlight situations and when the
light source is in the picture area or near it (hood cannot prevent
strong light coming to front lens). Usually this isn't possible
with zooms and causes serious problems for most low quality primes
too.
